I die for chocolate. But, I grew up on chocolate chip, peanut butter, and sugar cookies. There is something about a chocolate cookie that doesn't make my heart melt, but, I feel like that is about to change. This winter I've experimented with two types of chocolate surprise cookies. Yes, they are as amazing as they sound.
Firstly, Peanut Butter Surprises
I forget when I made these, all I remember is they were delicious and my roommate was so curious to how I hid the creamy peanut butter in the middle.
Press cookie dough flat with your hand, add in a ball of filling, fold the dough into a ball and roll in sugar. |
Soft cookies from the inside out! |
As you can see, chocolate outside, peanut butter inside. Perfect blend of the two flavors, if you ask me. |
Secondly, Chocolate Marshmallow Surprises
I think these look prettiest when they are cracked, so it's a little less of a surprise when you can see the white, creamy inside. I experimented with a few of these by folding in white chocolate with the marshmallow. It was an excellent success.
Soft, moist, and delicious, a beautiful wedding between chocolate and marshmallow. |
